HEALTHCARE
Edwards Lifesciences Corp. (NYSE: EW) was up 2% to $228.45 for a recent market value of $48 billion. Shares of the Irvine medical device maker are up about 34% from the start of the year, with the company set to report its next quarterly results later this month. Investors Business Daily yesterday gave a positive report, saying the company is in “the buy range.” Also, Zacks Equity Research today said Edwards “has seen a nice streak of beating earnings estimates.”
RESTAURANTS
Huntington Beach-based BJ’s Restaurants Inc. (Nasdaq: BJRI) shares were down 3% to $36.35 for a market value of $743 million. Restaurant stocks were generally mixed on Friday.
