The S&P was down 0.6% in midday trading Friday to 2,959.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 0.3% to 26,806.5, while the Nasdaq was off 1.2% to 7,936.5.
The yield on a 10-year bond was up 0.4% to 1.7%.
Crude oil was down 1.2% to $55.75.
Gold was down 0.5% to $1,507.20.
TECHNOLOGY
Irvine data analytics firm Alteryx Inc. (NYSE: AYX) was down 5% to $105.42, continuing its slide this week. Tech stocks slumped on remarks made earlier this week by President Trump on trade with China and social media platforms. Alteryx had a recent market value of $7 billion.
HEALTHCARE
Glaukos Corp. (NYSE: GKOS) shares were trading down 8% to $61.31 on higher than average volume. The San Clemente maker of glaucoma-related devices, was the subject of a report Friday from online stock analysis site Simply Wall St. pointing out the historical volatility of the company’s stock. Glaukos had a recent market value of $2 billion.
