Kaiser Aluminum Corporation (Nasdaq: KALU) in Foothill Ranch was down 3.6% at $90.74 a share with a market cap of $1.5 billion. The Detroit Free Press reported that Ford has decided a mixed materials strategy for the 2020 Explorer SUV to save weight, rather than having all-aluminum bodies.
HEALTHCARE
Edwards Lifesciences Corp. (NYSE) in Irvine was up 1.4% to $189.42 a share with a market cap of $38.8 billion. The shares have risen 12% since the beginning of June despite the company’s voluntary recall of the IntraClude intra-aortic occlusion device in May.
