The S&P 500 was flat at 2,950.93 during midday trading.
The Nasdaq was also flat at 8,028.12.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.2% to 26,762.87.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond dropped 2.3% to 2.02%.
The price of gold jumped 1.4% to $1,419.
The price of oil dipped 0.4% to $57.18 a barrel.
HEALTHCARE
Axonics Modulation Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: AXNX) in Irvine decreased 2.7% to $36.86 and a $1 billion market cap. The medical device maker announced last week that it had received FDA approval for the use of full-body MRIs for clinical studies of the company’s first big product, the implantable r-SNM System. Shares for the company have more than doubled since the start of the year.
Cryoport Inc. (Nasdaq: CYRX), also in Irvine, climbed 5.7% to $18.83 and a $658 million market cap. Shares for the health sciences shipping and logistics provider are up nearly 100% year-to-date. The company last week announced it has priced its public offering of 3.75 million newly issued common stock at $17 per share.
