Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P 500 was flat in midday trading at 2,637.04.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.4% to 24,331.83.

The Nasdaq was up 0.3% to 7,041.01.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond declined 0.1% to 2.8%.

The price of gold was flat at $1,250.

TECHNOLOGY

CalAmp Corp. (Nasdaq: CAMP) plummeted 16% to $14.30 and a market cap of $452 million. The Irvine-based telematics products maker lowered its non-GAAP earnings target to 23 cents from 25 cents, below analysts’ estimates of 32 cents per share, which triggered several downgrades. Its shares have sunk 44% from a 52-week high of $25.45.

RESTAURANTS

Casual dining chain BJ’s Restaurants Inc. (Nasdaq: BJRI) in Huntington Beach fell 4% to $53.80 and a market cap of $1.1 billion. Shares are down 30% since hitting a 52-week high in September of $76.50.
