Irvine-based Pro-Dex Inc. (Nasdaq: PDEX) surged 10% to $13.8 and a $58 million market cap. Shares in the thinly traded manufacturer are up 48% since Nov. 8, the day the company reported September quarter revenue jumped 34% year-over-year to $6.9 million and net income doubled to $1.3 million. The company makes surgical drivers and shavers used primarily in the orthopedic and maxocranial facial markets.
FINANCE
Irvine mortgage lender Impac Mortgage Holdings Inc. (NYSE: IMH) was up 8% to $4.90 and a $103 million market cap. The shares, which have climbed four straight trading sessions, are still down 52% this year.
