Indexes continued to rally higher following the rebound on Tuesday, following some heavy losses toward the end of October.
The S&P 500 was up 0.6% to 2,729.65.
The Dow Jones jumped 0.8% to 25,303.05.
The Nasdaq surged more than 1% to 7,383.76.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond was down 0.6% at 3.14%.
The price of gold increased 1.6% to $1,234.

Mission Viejo-based Ensign Group Inc. (Nasdaq: ENSG) jumped 16% to $42.78 and a $2.2 billion market cap. The senior housing operator announced third-quarter earnings yesterday, posting revenue and adjusted profit that topped analysts’ consensus estimates.

Emerald Expositions Events Inc. (NYSE: EEX) fell 19% to $11.83 and an $864 million market cap. The San Juan Capistrano-based trade show operator said Chief Executive David Loechner has resigned, effective Nov. 8. The company said it has started to search for a successor and appointed Chief Financial Officer Philip Evans as interim CEO. It also reported third quarter revenue rose 2.7% to $103.1 million and reduced its annual forecast for organic growth from as much as 3.5% to as much as 1%.
