The price of gold declined 0.4% to $1,318.

NUTRITION

ChromaDex Corp. (Nasdaq: CDXC) fell 11% to $3.47 and a $190 million market cap. Shares of the Irvine-based maker of ingredients for nutritional supplements have declined 18% since April 23, when it announced that longtime Chief Executive Frank Jaksch is stepping down and will be replaced by President Rob Fried.

TECHNOLOGY

Costa Mesa’s Veritone Inc. (Nasdaq: VERI) climbed 7% to $20.94 and a $340 million market cap. Shares of the online media ad placement company that’s trying to break into artificial intelligence have jumped 59% since April 4, when it announced an update to its artificial intelligence operating system. It’s scheduled to report first-quarter earnings on May 8.
