ChromaDex Corp. (Nasdaq: CDXC) in Irvine was up 5.9% to $7.03 and a $339 million market cap. The maker of ingredients was scheduled to close a $23 million private placement today and its shares are up about 28% on the week.

Tilly’s Inc. (NYSE: TLYS) in Irvine was up 7.1% and a $383 million market cap on moderate volume. It runs a chain of youth fashion stores.
