Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P 500 was down 0.2% in midday trading to 2,358.69.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 0.2% to 20,762.18.

The NASDAQ was down 0.2% to 5,822.04.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond fell 2.5% to 2.33%.

The price of gold rose 0.5% to $1,258.

HEALTHCARE

Sabra Health Care REIT Inc. in Irvine was up 4% to $27.11 and a $1.8 billion market cap. The healthcare facility owner had a positively received quarterly report.

Aerie Pharmaceuticals Inc. in Irvine was up 1.1% to $44.75 and a $1.5 billion market cap. Analysts at Cowen & Co. initiated coverage on shares of the development-stage developer of eye care drugs with an “outperform” rating and a $70 price target; coverage on Aerie’s shares was last week initiated by Roth Capital with a “buy” rating and a $69 price target.

RESTAURANTS

BJ’s Restaurants Inc. in Huntington Beach was up 4% to $37.05 and an $862 million market cap. The casual dining restaurant chain in its most recent quarter earned about $13 million on revenue of about $266 million. Both numbers beat analyst expectations.
