The Dow Jones Industrial Average also rose 0.2% to 28,567.81.
Nasdaq broke 9,000 for the first time, climbing 0.6% to 9,009.12
Crude oil rose 0.9% to $61.70 a barrel.
Gold increased by 0.6% to $ 1,515.
The yield on a 10-Year Bond fell 0.524% to 1.90%.

Willdan Group Inc. (Nasdaq: WLSDN) rose 2.2% to $31.40 a share at midday trading. Trading volume was well below average with a $355 million market cap. The consulting company operates out of Anaheim.
REAL ESTATE
The New Home Company Inc. (NYSE: NWHM) saw stock slide 3% at midday trading, bringing shares to $4.57 and a $92 million market cap. The company is based in Aliso Viejo and calls itself a “new generation homebuilder” that guides buyers in the process of developing land into a home.
