Kwikset Introduces Apple, Android Integration

New functionality extends the Kwikset app to car use

Kwikset said it has introduced a smart lock integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, enabling homeowners to lock or unlock their front door directly from their vehicle’s dashboard.
The new functionality extends the Kwikset app to the car, providing quick, key-free access before drivers step out of their vehicle.
“Once a smartphone is connected to the vehicle, either wired or wirelessly, the Kwikset app appears alongside other supported apps, allowing users to select their home and tap to lock or unlock their door,” Lake Forest-based Kwikset said in a statement today.
