Josh D’Amaro, current chairman of Disney Experiences, will be the new CEO of The Walt Disney Co., effective March 18.
D’Amaro started his Disney career, now 28 years and counting, in 1998 at the Disneyland Resort. In 2018, he became president of the Anaheim resort and led the local theme parks, hotels and retail district for the next few years before switching coasts.
Most notably, D’Amaro oversaw the 2019 opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
