Long Beach Airport Traffic Up 13%

Long Beach Airport traffic jumped 13% year-over-year in October to about 305,100 passengers; year-to-date traffic is still down about 10% to 3 million.

JetBlue Airways represented 54% of total traffic, carrying 165,800 passengers, up 6.3% from the year prior. Southwest upped its passenger count by 20% to 89,300 passengers, making up 29% of the total.

Hawaiian Airlines carried about 11,100 passengers and two other airlines, American and Delta, carried about 38,800 combined.

Cargo flown by FedEx and UPS decreased 14% in October to 1,780 tons. Charter flying from Long Beach rose 3% to 235 passengers.
