John Wayne Airport said the Orange County Board of Supervisors named Lawrence Serafini acting director, following the departure of current Airport Director Alan Murphy.
Serafini has been the deputy airport director for facilities since 2001, overseeing JWA planning, engineering, development, maintenance, environmental compliance, and information systems.
“We are fortunate to have experienced and qualified airport staff to step into the role,” said Supervisor Todd Spitzer, the board’s chairman.
The appointment of Serafini to the airport’s top executive position is effective tomorrow, February 6.
