Thomas Mazloum will succeed Ken Potrock as the president of the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, effective in March. Â
Potrock, who has held the top role since 2020, will transition to a newly created role as president of The Walt Disney Company Major Events Integration where he will “focus on maximizing the companywide value of large-scale sports, entertainment and tourism events ranging from the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics to the 250th Anniversary of the nation,” the company said.Â
Mazloum, who began his career with Disney in 1998, was most previously president of the company’s New Experiences Portfolio & Disney Signature Experiences overseeing businesses such as the Disney Cruise Line, Disney Vacation Club and Adventures by Disney. Before that, he served as senior vice president of operations at the Walt Disney World Resort. Â
“He will guide Disneyland Resort through an exciting new era of growth with the recent approval of DisneylandForward, unlocking opportunities for expansion and investment in Anaheim for the next 40 years,” Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro said in a statement.Â
Disneyland Resort is Orange County’s largest employer with 36,000 employees across the company’s two theme parks, three resort hotels and Downtown Disney District.Â
