Disneyland Resort in Anaheim said Thursday it would be “sunsetting” its current annual passport program with plans to replace it with new membership offerings.
“Due to the continued uncertainty of the pandemic and limitations around the reopening of our California theme parks, we will be issuing appropriate refunds for eligible Disneyland Resort Annual Passports and sunsetting the current program,” said Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock in a statement.
The change comes nearly a year after the onset of the pandemic, which shuttered the two theme parks in March. When it is able to reopen, Disneyland is expected to switch to a limited reservation-only ticket system.
“We are currently developing new membership offerings that will utilize consumer insights to deliver choice, flexibility and value for our biggest fans,” Potrock added.
