2024 Pacific Airshow to Add Aircraft Display

Huntington Beach event to build temporary beach runway for select planes

This year, the Pacific Airshow in Huntington Beach will build a temporary runway on the sand for the first time to both display select aircraft and allow performers to land during the three-day show.

“Our team is relentless in our pursuit of innovation and our commitment to continually evolve this event,” Executive Director Kevin Elliott said at a press conference.

2024 marks the airshow’s eighth year in Huntington Beach and it delivers more than $120 million annually in economic impact to the city alone. Last year, the show reported an increase of 33% in ticketed guests compared to 2022.

Estimates showed around 700,000 people in the immediate vicinity watched the 2023 airshow.

“The airshow drives tremendous economic impact for our local businesses and provides a global exposure platform that attracts visitors throughout the year,” Huntington Beach Mayor Gracey Van Der Mark said at the announcement.

This year’s event will take place on October 4-6 with performers and other show activities soon to be announced.
