Terran Orbital Providing Satellite Platform for Mitsubishi Electric Mission

'Commitment to pushing the boundaries'

Terran Orbital said today it will supply its Nebula platform to a Mitsubishi Electric satellite program.

The platform — officially termed a bus — for the low Earth orbit Demo mission will be  equipped with a Quantum Key Distribution and Optical Terminal payload, provided by a Japanese team comprising members of the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology, Mitsubishi Electric, and other Japanese partners, according to Terran Orbital.

Peter Krauss, CEO of Irvine-based Terran Orbital, stated said in a statement: “This project highlights our commitment to pushing the boundaries of space technology and delivering unmatched solutions for our clients.”
