Mobix Labs Inc. last month agreed to buy fellow Irvine-based EMI Solutions, whose products filter out unwanted noise and interference on military and aerospace electronic systems.
Mobix Labs CEO Fabian Battaglia says it’s all about science, and not bad actors seeking to disrupt communications.
“There’s nothing nefarious about it. It’s just physics,” Battaglia told the Business Journal on Sept. 28.
Battaglia said it is working to weed out “electromagnetic interference,” which creates unwanted noise on a signal.
The acquisition of EMI is expected to close by year’s end.
