Artificial intelligence company Veritone Inc. (Nasdaq: VERI) said Michael Zemetra was appointed the company’s chief financial officer effective today, as part of a planned transition.
Zemetra most recently served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of LiveXLive Media (Nasdaq: LIVX), a global digital media company
Zemetra succeeds Peter Collins, who will continue to serve in an advisory capacity during a transition period.
Before the announcement, shares in Veritone rose in regular trading almost 8% to $11.10 apiece for a market cap of $306 million.
