Loko AI Lands First West Coast Customer

Loko AI, an Irvine-based provider of security systems that use artificial intelligence, announced its first customer on the West Coast.

Yusen Terminals LLC at the Port of Los Angeles has bought a full production version of Loko AI’s Caretaker for risk management program in a six-figure, three-year contract that starts in August.

Yusen Terminals, which operates a state-of-the-art marine container terminal in the Port of Los Angeles, is jointly owned by Tokyo-based NYK Group and Sydney-based Macquarie Infrastructure Partners.

Loko AI’s initial contracts have been on the east coast.

Joseph Zaki in 2019 began Loko AI to help companies use artificial intelligence to improve their security systems. The Business Journal profiled the company in its April 18 issue this year.
