Irvine-based cybersecurity firm Netwrix will control a combined company it has formed with New Jersey-based counterpart Stealthbits Technologies Inc. Financial terms of the arrangement were not released.
While the two cybersecurity companies are calling the deal a merger, the Netwrix website said “the new combined company will be led by Netwrix CEO Steve Dickson.”
“In the near term, both companies will continue to operate as separate, standalone brands with the exception that Stealthbits will be known as ‘Stealthbits, now part of Netwrix,’” according to a statement from Netwrix today.
The combined company is owned by private equity firm TA Associates of Boston.
