OC50 2026: REBECCA RAABE

CO-FOUNDER/INVESTMENT PARTNER

SPRIG EQUITY

WHY: In 2023, co-founded Sprig Equity, a majority female-owned medical technology investment firm focused on later-stage investments in innovative healthcare companies. Raised $50M in first fund. Previously held leadership roles across strategy and commercialization at private medtechs like Ulthera (acquired by Merz) and Cayenne Medical (acquired by Zimmer). Was on Abbott’s corporate venture team, managing equity investments and helping develop new franchise strategies. Evaluated medtech transactions for Ballast Capital. Has served as advisor to Rx3 Growth Partners, which was co-founded by her husband Nate as well Byron Roth, owner of largest investment bank with HQ in Orange County, and NFL QB Aaron Rodgers. Couple has three children.

IN THE NEWS: Achieved its first successful portfolio exit in January with Conformal Medical, which returned nearly the entire inaugural fund to investors less than one year after Fund I closed. Now in the process of raising a $100M for Fund II.

NOTABLE: MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management; BA in Biochemical Sciences from Harvard. IN HER WORDS: “The way I think about healthcare investing is always with the end patient in mind. A breakthrough medical technology can only change lives if it successfully reaches the people who need it. That requires more than innovation alone — it requires the right strategy, partnerships, and path to growth. We focus on supporting companies that not only have strong technology, but also a clear opportunity to scale and improve patient outcomes in a meaningful way.”
