Digital ad tech company Viant Technology Inc. (Nasdaq: DSP) in Irvine has named Ritesh Patel as its chief legal officer, reporting directly to CEO Tim Vanderhook.
Patel will lead the company’s legal department and be responsible for all aspects of its legal affairs and serve on the Executive Committee.
Most recently Patel served as the head of legal for Apeel Sciences. Before that he was vice president, assistant general counsel at The Trade Desk.
Viant also said today it had named Arish Gajjar as its new SVP, deputy general counsel, reporting to Patel. Gajjar also counts experience at Trade Desk (Nasdaq: TTD), a larger competitor of Viant that’s valued around $30 billion.
Shares in Viant closed up 0.7% at $4.41 apiece for a market cap of $270.5 million after the announcement.
