Gary Wilson, partner-in-charge of Grant Thornton LLP’s Irvine office, will shift to PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP’s Irvine office Jan. 5.
Details regarding Wilson’s new position and his replacement at Grant Thornton haven’t been disclosed.
Chicago-based Grant Thornton is the ninth-largest accounting firm in Orange County, according to a Business Journal list published in July. New York-based PricewaterhouseCoopers was No. 4.
“I’ve been with the current firm for 20 years,” Wilson said. “It’s been a great experience.”
Wilson joined Grant Thornton in 1991 and has been a partner since 2004. He became partner-in-charge of the Irvine office in 2009.
Wilson has worked with public and private companies across a number of industries, ranging from medical device and life sciences to manufacturing and technology.
