Goodwill: ‘Hang on to Your Donations’

Goodwill of Orange County is asking locals to hold off on donating items.

The Santa Ana-based organization temporarily closed its stores, drop-off sites and distribution center in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Still, large amounts of donated goods—everything from bags to truckloads—are being left at unattended sites.

“With the weather and pilfering, many of these donations will no longer be viable for reselling and become trash that we have to simply take to the landfill,” Goodwill said.

The group asks donations be kept until its locations reopen.
