Newport Beach-based private equity firm ClearLight Partners LLC has made a “major” investment in Walker Advertising, a legal marketing firm primarily serving the Latino-American community.
San Pedro-based Walker Advertising was founded by Mary Ann Walker, a former court translator, about 30 years ago.
The company aims to provide Latino-Americans access to legal representation and operates two brands, Los Defensores and 1800thelaw2.
Neither the amount of ClearLight’s investment nor the percentage of its ownership stake was disclosed.
ClearLight is headed by Managing Partner Michael Kaye. It has $900 million in assets under management and seven other companies in its current portfolio, including Anaheim-based kitchen and personal goods manufacturer Evriholder Products Inc. and Philadelphia-based sales training company Richardson.
