Bastion Elevate Merges with IMW Agency, Renamed Bastion Amplify

Laguna Hills Parent PR firm looking to double employee count

Public relations firm Bastion Elevate in Costa Mesa has merged with Laguna Hills-based IMW Agency and renamed its office Bastion Amplify.

This move is part of Bastion’s growth strategy of building up its U.S. entity, according to USA Chief Executive Dax Cornelius. The company also has offices in Los Angeles and New York.

Now with local branch offices in Laguna Hills and extensions out of Los Angeles and New York, “Bastion Amplify” reports 28 employees and is looking to hire more. Bastion Agency – USA has over 55 employees across the US,  Cornelius said Bastion expects to double its headcount in the next year.

Former Bastion Elevate CEO Shana Starr will stay on as president while former IMW chief executive Chris Bretschger has taken over as CEO.

“The independent nature of IMW allowed us to carry the fiduciary and emotional responsibilities of our client relationships and parlay our scale into their efficiencies,” Cornelius told the Business Journal.
