Allied Universal Buys Attenti Group

Santa Ana-based Allied Universal, the world’s largest provider of private security guards, said it has acquired Attenti Group to expand electronic monitoring internationally.

Allied Universal will integrate Attenti Group with G4S Monitoring Technologies, to create Allied Universal Electronic Monitoring Services. The combined business has pro-forma 2021 revenues over $150m with operations in more than 35 countries.

“This acquisition gives Allied Universal Electronic Monitoring Services a global footprint and an established platform for continued growth in North America, which is the world’s largest opportunity for electronic monitoring,” Global Chairman and Chief Executive Steve Jones said in a statement.

Attenti, based in Tel Aviv, has programs to monitor alcoholics, elderly patients and recently released prisoners.

Closing, subject to customary regulatory approvals, is anticipated this year.

Allied Universal, which has annual sales around $19 billion, has more than 800,000 employees in 90 countries
