Irvine-based Voluspa opened its second-ever retail store at the Brea Mall this month as the company begins the expansion of its brick-and-mortar business.
The luxury candlemaker first opened a flagship at Fashion Island in 2019.
“As we build our retail footprint, we want to perfect our concept here in Orange County, where Voluspa was founded and where our products are made to this day,” Chief Executive Troy Arnsten told the Business Journal.
Voluspa, co-founded by Arntsen in 1999, designs, manufactures and distributes all products from its 85,000-square-foot headquarters and facility in Irvine.
The company already counts about 3,000 wholesale partners in the U.S.
“Building locally gives our management team the ability to be directly involved, developing learnings that will guide us in the future,” Arnsten said.
Voluspa joins a slate of new retailers and restaurants opening at the Brea Mall as part of the shopping center’s ongoing multimillion-dollar redevelopment.
