Quiksilver Hires Ex-Disney Executive

Huntington Beach-based action-sports apparel maker and retailer Quiksilver Inc. hired a former Disney Store executive to head retail for its Americas business.

Steve Finney took on the senior vice president and general manager of consumer direct title for Quiksilver’s Americas division last week. He replaces Paul McAdam, who resigned, according to a spokesperson. McAdam joined Quiksilver in late 2011.

Finney joined Quiksilver from retail consultancy Radical Expansion, where he was managing director. He’s also held a number of executive positions with The Walt Disney Co.’s Disney Store retail chain.

Finney’s hiring is the latest in a series of executive changes at Quiksilver, beginning with Andy Mooney taking the top spot at the company in January, with founder and former Chief Executive Bob McKnight now executive chairman. Last month, Quiksilver Europe President Pierre Agnes added global head of apparel to his title.

Quiksilver also named Tom Hartge global head of footwear and Kasey Mazzone global head of supply chain.
