San Juan Capistrano-based Melin, a maker of upscale hats, this week released its newest line of cold-weather hats dubbed the Infinite Thermal collection.
The company has collaborated with Olympic snowboarder Louie Vito to create a signature, limited-edition maroon cap to go with the new offering. The Infinite Thermal hats were made with 4-way stretch fabric to be water and now snow resistant along with a built-in sweatband to retain heat and microfleece lining for warmth.
A portion of the proceeds from the new headwear will go to the High Fives Foundation, which works to support majorly injured athletes. Each style starts at $79.
Melin is also looking to raise funds to support the Volunteer Florida organization in recovery efforts from Hurricane Ian by donating a portion of sales from its A-Game hat collection through October.
Founded in 2014, the retailer opened its flagship store in Laguna Beach in June as its only brick-and-mortar stop. Melin products are sold in over 100 companies and online.
