Hijinx Hotel, Holey Moley Golf Club to Open at Irvine Spectrum in December

Marks U.S. debut of Hijinx Hotel and Orange County’s first Holey Moley location

The newest entertainment offerings coming to the Irvine Spectrum Center, the Holey Moley Golf Club and Hijinx Hotel concepts developed by Australia-based Funlab, will open in December.

The shopping center will debut Orange County’s first Holey Moley Golf Club, a mini golf course and bar experience, and the first-ever U.S. location of Hijinx Hotel, a “funhouse” with 15 interactive challenge rooms and private karaoke lounges, on Dec. 12.

Reservations can be booked online starting on Nov. 12.

“Our mission at Funlab is to create immersive, unforgettable adventures that can be shared,” Chief Executive Michael Schreiber said in a statement. “These new concepts deliver exactly that, combining playful creativity with social connection in ways that truly reimagine what entertainment looks like in a retail environment.”

Both entertainment concepts will operate in a 35,000-square-foot space at the Spectrum Center near the Regal movie theater.

Funlab operates over 50 venues, such as arcades, bowling alleys and mini golf, across six brands with more than 2,000 employees. The company, owned by private equity firm TPG Capital, first entered the U.S. market in 2023.

Irvine Spectrum is the fifth largest shopping center in OC, with taxable 12-month sales of $622 million, and draws more than 16.5 million visitors annually.
