BJ’s Offers Beer Delivery

BJ’s Restaurants Inc. said its online ordering platform will offer alcohol delivery in some California markets via its new partnership with food delivery service provider, San Francisco-based DoorDash Inc. Five varieties of craft beers and 25 varieties of wine are available to customers over the age of 21.

“We are excited to provide a new generation of customers, particularly millennials, with a simpler and more convenient way to order their favorite menu items,” said BJ Chief Executive Greg Trojan.

The Huntington Beach-based company runs a chain of 194 casual dining restaurants in 24 states. Its same-store sales and traffic have been down slightly the last two years. BJ’s stock, off 20% year-over-year, traded recently at about $32 for a $683 million market cap.
