Irvine-based menswear company Combatant Gentlemen next month plans to open a pop-up store at Bloomingdale’s in South Coast Plaza that will remain open throughout the holiday season.
The e-retailer also will present its new $260 suit line, Summit Italy, at store-in-store concepts at Bloomingdale’s in New York City, Tysons Corner Center in Washington, D.C., and Chicago. All four locations will feature ready-to-wear items, as well as touchscreen displays that customers can use to design “made-to-order” suits or set up an appointment with a tailor.
“Partnerships like these give us the insight we need to better assist our customers and grow as a company,” Chief Executive Vishaal Melwani said in a statement. “At the same time, it can bring new and exciting perspectives that make upscale stores more approachable to millennial shoppers.”
Combatant Gentlemen sells most of its merchandise online and has an Irvine showroom. In July it opened its first store, which is in Santa Monica.
