Eran Cohen Parts Ways with St. John Knits

Eran Cohen has left the CEO post of Irvine luxury knit house St. John Knits, the Business Journal has learned.

Cohen left the top spot at the company this month and a spokesperson for St. John confirmed he is no longer with the business, adding “St. John has a strong management team in place who will share in overseeing the brand’s operations through this time.”

Cohen was tapped for the top spot at St. John in 2018, succeeding long-time St. John executive Bruce Fetter.

Cohen came to the company from PetSmart Inc. where he was executive vice president of customer experience. He also served as chief marketing officer and executive vice president of New York & Company Inc. and senior vice president and chief marketing officer at Payless ShoeSource.

St. John is owned by Shanghai-based Fosun Fashion Group, which said Wednesday it struck a partnership with China-based e-commerce company Baozun Inc. and marketing services firm Activation Group Holdings Ltd. that gives both companies minority stakes in Fosun.

The deal is viewed as a way to bolster growth for Fosun’s fashion brands in China.
