Irvine Western-inspired retailer Boot Barn Holdings Inc. (NYSE: BOOT) said it added a Big Lots Inc. executive to its board.
Gene Eddie Burt is executive vice president and chief supply chain officer of the discount retailer. He takes up the eighth director seat on the Boot Barn board with the appointment.
Burt comes to the board with retail experience at a number of chains. He is the former executive vice president of merchandising and supply chain for GNC, senior vice president of real estate and development for PetSmart Inc. and The Home Depot Inc. director of domestic distribution.
Boot Barn, which has 267 stores across 36 states, was up 0.2% to $60.81 in midday trading Friday for a market cap of $1.8 billion.
