Anaheim Ducks owners Henry and Susan Samueli have committed to paying all 2,100 part-time employees of their sports and arena management companies through June 30, though events aren’t being held.
This includes all programs at Honda Center, Great Park Ice in Irvine, and eight other ice and inline sports facilities, as well the American Hockey League’s San Diego Gulls, affiliated with the Ducks, and a JT Schmid’s Restaurant and Brewery across Katella Avenue from the Honda Center.
“Every event previously scheduled to take place between April 1 and June 30 that does not occur as scheduled will be paid to part-time employees. All ice and inline venues are currently closed until further notice,” a statement from the companies said.
