Chesapeake, Va.-based Dollar Tree Inc. leased a 13,295-square-foot retail space at 17876 Newhope St. in Fountain Valley. During the recession, budget stores like Dollar Tree were one of the few retailers to see growth. Today, there are 3,591 Dollar Tree stores in 48 states. The new store will be Dollar Tree’s 13th in Orange County. It will move in May 1. The retailer joins adjacent stores Costco, Big Lots, Souplantation and Starbucks. Terms of the lease weren’t disclosed. John Beaney of Studley Inc. represented Dollar Tree. Mark Baziak and Terrison Quinn of Grubb & Ellis Co. represented landlord Burnham USA Equities.
