Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P 500 was down 0.7% to 4,155.00 in Monday midday trading.

The Nasdaq fell 1.3% to 13,875.50 while the Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased 0.5% to 34,021.89.

Crude oil ticked 0.2% higher to $63.27 a barrel.

Gold was down 0.6% to $1,770.10.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury rose 1.1% to 1.591%.

REAL ESTATE

Impac Mortgage Holdings Inc. (NYSE: IMH) jumped 11% to $2.16 and a $47 million market cap. Insider Richard Pickup, who stepped down from the board of directors at the Irvine-based firm last year, recently bought $390,000 worth of stock, increasing their holdings by 5.7%. The Pickup family is the largest owner of stock at the company.  

TECHNOLOGY

Costa Mesa-based Veritone Inc. (Nasdaq: VERI) decreased 8.7% to $25.11 and an $812 million market cap. The artificial intelligence media company, which is trading lower than its average daily volume, is still up more than 500% compared to a year ago.
