Huntington Beach Hires Head Marketer

The Huntington Beach Marketing and Visitors Bureau hired the former head of the Tampa Bay visitors bureau in Florida to be its president and chief executive.

Kelly Miller will replace current Chief Executive Steve Bone at the end of the summer.

Bone, who announced his pending retirement from the bureau in April, is expected to stay on for another year as an adviser.

Miller was most recently president and chief executive of Tampa Bay & Co., the tourism and marketing organization for the Tampa Bay area.

He worked at the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau as the 1996 Summer Olympic Games marketing manager, with a later stint as director of international marketing. He also served as executive director of the Asheville Convention & Visitors Bureau in North Carolina.
