The Perfect Fit
The CHOC Glass Slipper Guild’s 28th annual “A Magical Evening Under the Big Top” took place on May 21 at The Waterfront Beach Resort in Huntington Beach. More than 300 guests attended the celebratory affair, which honored The Fetal Care Center of Southern California, a partnership between CHOC and University of California, Irvine, and its patients, doctors and supporters in the community. After the cocktail reception, guests made their way into a decorated outdoor lawn that reflected the Big Top theme, where they enjoyed dinner, the event program and a live auction and raffle. Dr. Peter Yu, a CHOC pediatric surgeon and co-medical director of the Fetal Care Center, came to the stage to thank CHOC donors and to share the innovative and life-saving care CHOC and UC Irvine are currently providing and where they are headed in the future.
“We are grateful for the generous support of the Glass Slipper Guild, bringing hope to families and children with serious birth defects,” Yu said.
