Software startup Giggo Inc. has introduced a digital data catalogue to streamline sales and purchases of motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, RVs and boats.
The products include a decoder with access to the various vehicle identification numbers and hull identification numbers, providing data to enable digital commerce.
The data catalogue “covers new and used vehicles and vessels going back up to 10 years,” CEO Andy Hinrichs told the Business Journal on July 12.
The digital products – branded giggo.ai – aid lenders, insurance companies, marketplaces, website providers and technology companies serving manufacturers and dealerships.
“Giggo is developing a portfolio of software solutions that will allow manufacturers, dealers, lenders and others to transact online,” said Hinrichs, an OC serial fintech entrepreneur.
Award Winner
Hinrichs won a Business Journal Excellence in Entrepreneurship award in 2018Â for his accomplishments building AutoGravity Corp. into an innovation leader in the automotive industry.
After AutoGravity, Hinrichs co-founded Irvine-based auto platform Digital Motors Corp. It was launched in March 2020 and acquired by TrueCar Inc. of Santa Monica in 2022.
With his latest product giggo.ai, customers will be able to identify their vehicle/vessel of choice in a dealer’s inventory, structure a deal, add insurance and other protection products, get approved for financing and schedule delivery.
Giggo currently has about a dozen employees.
“Until recently, we have been in pre-revenue stealth mode and are currently entering the commercialization phase. As a privately held company, we do not publish financial results,” said Hinrichs.
Giggo serves clients in the financial services, insurance and e-commerce sectors, but it’s not disclosing company names.
“As an increasing share of vehicle transactions move online, giggo.ai will serve a growing ecosystem of commerce solutions and providers.
The company’s data can also be used for merchandising vehicles more effectively in virtual dealership showrooms and online marketplaces by portraying them in their best possible light,” the company says.
