IN THE NEWS: Taking over stewardship of the Orange County Museum of Art (OCMA), which reported OC revenue of $10.3M and 240K visitors last year. The Langson Institute and Museum of California Art collection and programming will be incorporated into the combined entity, which is taking on the new name UC Irvine Langson Orange County Museum of Art.
NOTABLE: Recently concluded its Brilliant Future campaign, which launched in 2019 and has raised $2.4B+ for more than 250 new scholarships and the creation of five new buildings. Campaign’s largest gift of $200M came from Susan and Henry Samueli to establish the Susan & Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences. Sum of fundraising and research grants topped $1B in past year.
