Disney District. Set to see Disneyland, OC’s largest employer, through “an era of growth”
with approved development of DisneylandForward “unlocking opportunities for expansion and investment” in Anaheim, according to Disney executives.
IN THE NEWS: Entered top role at 500-acre resort, which has a $16.1B total economic impact on SoCal region, in March 2025. Then revealed in June first concrete project from DisneylandForward plans: a third 6K space parking structure on east side of park property that includes a public pedestrian bridge over Harbor Boulevard that will connect to a new
“esplanade arrival experience.” Construction scheduled to start in fall 2026.
NOTABLE: Austria-born, was previously president of Walt Disney Co.’s signature experiences portfolio, where he oversaw several divisions of company’s tourism businesses  such as Disney Cruise Line, Disney Vacation Club; credited for securing investments and development plans to double cruise line’s fleet size by 2031.

Nancy began her career 30 years ago at the Orange County Register, where she covered a range of beats, including retail, consumer trends, transportation, healthcare, and tourism.
