Computer networking products maker Lantronix Inc. (NASDAQ: LTRX) said today that industry veteran Saleel Awsare will be joining the Irvine-based company as president and CEO, effective Nov. 20.
He will succeed Paul Pickle, who resigned to pursue another opportunity as the chief executive officer of Semtech Corp. (Nasdaq: SMTC).
Awsare comes to Lantronix from Synaptics Inc., a provider of semiconductor products worldwide, where he most recently served as senior vice president and general manager of its Enterprise and Mobile Division.
Shares in Lantronix fell 2% to $4.40 apiece for a market cap of $164 million after today’s announcement.
