Silent Arrow said European airplane maker Airbus will provide sales and operations support for the Santa Ana-based company’s glider cargo drones in European markets.
Airbus will also certify the Silent Arrow GD-2000 1-ton cargo glider to operate from the Airbus A400M military cargo transporter following a planned series of air drops in Europe, Silent Arrow said in a statement earlier this month.
To facilitate the collaboration, Silent Arrow said it had recently granted an exclusive license to MEL Aviation of the U.K. to manufacture the Silent Arrow GD-2000 and its spare parts for U.K. and European Union markets.
