Women in Business Event Draws Crowd of 600+

More than 600 members of the Orange County business community attended the 27th annual Women in Business Awards ceremony on Oct. 28.

The Business Journal event, held at the Irvine Marriott near John Wayne Airport, honored OC-based women executives who have made marks in a variety of industries and business sectors, ranging from cybersecurity to staffing to the nonprofit sector.

The event was keynoted by New American Funding co-founder and President Patty Arvielo. Her Tustin-based home lender placed No. 1 among the fastest-growing large private companies in the Business Journal’s Sept. 20 ranking, with two-year growth of 303% to $1.4 billion.

New American is the largest women-owned mortgage company in the country. She runs the company with husband and CEO Rick Arvielo.

This page includes a selection of photos from the luncheon and a pre-event gathering for nominees and sponsors.
