Trade Marketplace in Irvine is adding three new concepts to the airport-area outdoor food hall’s lineup of eateries.

Champion’s Curry held its grand opening last month serving Chef Yoshikazu Tanaka’s renowned spin on a traditional curry recipe including the original “Kanazawa Curry.”  

Scheduled to open this month is SmörBurgers, the second chef-driven concept from “Chopped” champion Chef Joe Youkhan, who opened his first location in Santa Ana in 2020. I raved about his burgers and fries when I tried them last year, and am looking forward to visiting his new location once it opens.

The third addition local foodies can get excited for is the global handmade yogurt brand, called Yomie Yogurt. This is said to be a twist on traditional yogurt and is packed with natural vitamins and probiotics, crafted with milk from sources in 

Australia and New Zealand, and special purple rice grains from Northwest China.
